The school will be closed on Monday 19 September as a mark of respect on the day of Her Majesty The Queen's funeral.

At the Clinton Church of England School, all pupils are supported by the teachers as individuals to strive to be inspiring changemakers in a caring, family and community-centred rural environment. Our C360 curriculum offers an opportunity for children to explore their own talents as well as learn new skills. This is laid out within our four cornerstones;

    *    Academic (Wisdom, Knowledge and Skills)

    *    Character (Hope, aspiration and courageous Advocacy)

    *    Community (and living well together, dignity and respect)

    *    Innovation

The land our school is built on was generously donated by Lord and Lady Clinton.

This is a Church of England Primary School in the Diocese of Exeter. Recognising the historic foundation the school will preserve and develop the religious character in accordance with the principles and practice of the Church of England and in partnership with the Churches in the Parish and Diocese.

The school aims to serve its communities by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice. It encourages an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith and promotes Christian values through the experience it offers its pupils.

‘Let your roots grow down into him and let your lives be built on him.’

Colossians 2:7

Primary School sets the foundation for lifelong learning and we strive to ensure that when children leave our setting to move onto secondary school they already have the tools to be courageous advocates for their own, their communities and the world's future.

Together we nurture, love and learn whilst inspiring changemakers

We look at many photos of VE Day celebrations, Anderson shelters, the evacuee process and how lucky we are in comparison. ... See MoreSee Less

Kingfishers have been researching and testing wheels in DT in preparation to create our own moving moon buggy, based on our space topic this half term. The children have considered what shape wheels work well, how to make them turn and how important careful cutting is with the Kapow song about ”shark bites” for long cuts and “fishy nibbles” for small, round cuts. The children have needed to be resilient, determined and motivated to make the wheels move and cut the wheels out of thick card. We will be designing our vehicle soon and look forward to sharing the finished product. ... See MoreSee Less
