The school will be closed on Monday 19 September as a mark of respect on the day of Her Majesty The Queen's funeral.

At the Clinton Church of England School, all pupils are supported by the teachers as individuals to strive to be inspiring changemakers in a caring, family and community-centred rural environment. Our C360 curriculum offers an opportunity for children to explore their own talents as well as learn new skills. This is laid out within our four cornerstones;

    *    Academic (Wisdom, Knowledge and Skills)

    *    Character (Hope, aspiration and courageous Advocacy)

    *    Community (and living well together, dignity and respect)

    *    Innovation

The land our school is built on was generously donated by Lord and Lady Clinton.

This is a Church of England Primary School in the Diocese of Exeter. Recognising the historic foundation the school will preserve and develop the religious character in accordance with the principles and practice of the Church of England and in partnership with the Churches in the Parish and Diocese.

The school aims to serve its communities by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice. It encourages an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith and promotes Christian values through the experience it offers its pupils.

‘Let your roots grow down into him and let your lives be built on him.’

Colossians 2:7

Primary School sets the foundation for lifelong learning and we strive to ensure that when children leave our setting to move onto secondary school they already have the tools to be courageous advocates for their own, their communities and the world's future.

Together we nurture, love and learn whilst inspiring changemakers

This afternoon, The Clinton and Dolton Church of England School joined forces to celebrate Coldstream with Exeter & Devon Branch - Coldstream Guards Association . This is a big event for The Clinton due to the founder of the guards being George Monck, who lived at Potheridge House. Every year we hold this special event. This year we were joined by some ex serving Coldstream Guards and a current serving guard who was able to give a short presentation and answer questions from the children. The children created UN Goals projects, in KS2 the children produced individual projects to share and in KS1 they created a class project. There was a prize giving for the best and runner up project and every child received a book and book mark. The Nursery children also marched to a song and won our hearts with the cute factor, making them proud performers. We were very lucky that Lady Clinton (Nicola) was able to join us to mark the occasion. Well done to the children and staff for a wonderful event and to the PTFA for providing tea/coffee and cakes. ... See MoreSee Less

The Clinton and Dolton Church of England School came together for our annual sports day, with The Clinton hosting this year. The children took part in team games this morning, they took part in a Mental Heath Support Team assembly by two of their members of staff and after lunch we took part in various races. The children had so much fun, despite the heat, competing in all the activities. Thank you so much to the PTFA for providing refreshments and ice lollies for all the children, Mr Bashford for organising and setting up, all the staff for being their usual wonderful selves making sure the children were all happy and safe and to the parents and families for coming to watch. It was a great turn out of support. ... See MoreSee Less
