At the Clinton Church of England School, all pupils are supported by the teachers as individuals to strive to be inspiring changemakers in a caring, family and community-centred rural environment. Our C360 curriculum offers an opportunity for children to explore their own talents as well as learn new skills. This is laid out within our four cornerstones;

    *    Academic (Wisdom, Knowledge and Skills)

    *    Character (Hope, aspiration and courageous Advocacy)

    *    Community (and living well together, dignity and respect)

    *    Innovation

The land our school is built on was generously donated by Lord and Lady Clinton.

This is a Church of England Primary School in the Diocese of Exeter. Recognising the historic foundation the school will preserve and develop the religious character in accordance with the principles and practice of the Church of England and in partnership with the Churches in the Parish and Diocese.

The school aims to serve its communities by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice. It encourages an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith and promotes Christian values through the experience it offers its pupils.

‘Let your roots grow down into him and let your lives be built on him.’

Colossians 2:7

Primary School sets the foundation for lifelong learning and we strive to ensure that when children leave our setting to move onto secondary school they already have the tools to be courageous advocates for their own, their communities and the world's future.

The children were all very excited today by a visit from the police today with an Armed Response Vehicle (ARV).We were able to look at a lot of the kit they carry on board, find out about the types of things they do and got to sit in the vehicle and test out the lights and the siren. Thank you to Bodhi and Luca‘s dad for making this happen along with Stacey in the Nursery for organising it. All the children enjoyed it and learnt a lot about the type of vehicle they drive. #communitymatters #armedresponsevehicle #police ... See MoreSee Less

The Clinton had a very special visit from the Venerable Moira Astin, Bishop of Crediton today. Reverend Martin Warren accompanied her and we were lucky to have a worship led by Moira. She taught the children the oldest song from 800AD and told a bible story that required us all to be a part of the story. ... See MoreSee Less

Last week we said goodbye to Curate Catherine Duff as she takes on a new challenge in Wales with her own churches to oversee. We presented her with a handmade card, flowers and chocolate in the hope she will remember us fondly. We wish her well in her new role and thank her for the lovely gift of a “link it up Bible” for each class. ... See MoreSee Less
